Ludwigia ovalis is a beautiful, beginner-friendly stem plant with oval-shaped leaves that range in color from bright green to coppery pink and soft red, depending on light and substrate. This fast grower brings gentle color and movement to your midground or background, without the need for CO₂ injection or chemical fertilizers.
It’s perfect for low-tech tanks, especially Father Fish-style setups with a deep, nutrient-rich soil base. Ludwigia ovalis roots deeply, helps oxygenate the substrate, and offers valuable cover for fish, fry, and shrimp.

It was sent a full and Luscious in the package. I was even able to just set it aside for 24 hours before I planted it while I refured out a new tank and added the RO water halfway so that I could put the plant and it's other plants that I ordered into my new set up. I'm very pleased with its growth it takes up the whole corner of that side of the aquarium and the fish love it. Very healthy!
